About Me

Welcome to my e-portfolio! My name is Adia Compton. Feel free to explore any of the tabs and click on any links I have posted, which will be colored blue.

I moved into Northwest ISD towards the end of my kindergarten year, so most of my education has come from that school district. I have wanted to be an author since the third grade and have been pursing that goal consistently ever since. I started entering poetry contest at my elementary school, winning with first place most of the time. Then in middle school I was very active in theater for all three years, which immensely helped my character building skills. I was also a journalist for my school newspaper. In middle school I started competing nationally with my writing and eventually public speaking as well. I have continued to do Fine Arts, the name of the competition, and have been very successful. I also write for my high school newspaper occasionally. My summer of entering freshman year I was called into ministry, adding on another dream occupation to work for.

I am an INFJ,  one of Myer-Briggs sixteen personality types. Each letter stands for a type of trait I posses. I is for introverted, which means I get energy from being alone. N stands for intuitive, meaning I see patterns and the "big picture" rather than details. F is for feeling. I tend to make decisions based on how I feel. My weakest trait is J, which stands for judging. Judging is when someone prefers to stick to a schedule and is more organized. An INFJ is no better or worse than any other personality type, but by knowing others can understand me better.
